Guérande, a town of art and history and the favourite city of the Dukes of Brittany, is renowned for its salt marshes and medieval city.
Guérande is one of the rare French towns to have conserved its ramparts in totality - over 1 400 m in circumference. The town attracted writers such as Flaubert and Balzac.
